Raquel van Elsen: From a Simple Hobby to a Growing Passion in the Spotlight

What once began as a simple hobby for Raquel van Elsen has evolved into something she never could have imagined.

Being an extra started out as a fun way to try something new to step into another world for a day. But soon it became much more than that. Raquel truly enjoys everything that comes with it. Every set feels like a new environment where she can lose herself for a moment and forget everything around her. And each time, it’s a joy for her to meet new people during the filming days.

Yet, Raquel knows her future doesn’t lie in background work alone. Recently, she’s noticed her heart beating faster for something else: modeling. Standing in front of the camera, expressing emotion, capturing a mood through posture or a simple glance it all feels so natural and so close to who she is. That’s why, in the coming period, Raquel wants to focus more on developing herself in the world of modeling and growing within that field.

Even though she loves what she does, Raquel’s life is so much more than just work. Her family, her loved ones, and her friends mean absolutely everything to her. Spending time with them is the most important thing in her life. She also loves going out for dinner, taking walks, reading, and relaxing at the spa those are the moments that recharge her completely. Raquel finds it important to make time for herself, especially when she needs to step into a different world for a while.

What many people don’t know is that Raquel lives with rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia. It’s invisible, but it’s always there. Still, she refuses to let it hold her back. She is not her illness. On days when her body allows it, she gives it her all, with joy, energy, and motivation. And on difficult days, she allows herself the rest she needs without giving up on her dreams.

Raquel is proud of the path she’s walking: from a hobby that grew out of control to a clear focus on modeling. She wants to keep growing, keep discovering, and keep enjoying every step of the journey.
