Emanuela Del Zompo is a multifaceted Italian artist whose career spans acting, singing, journalism, writing, and filmmaking. With a passion for storytelling and social awareness, she has established herself as a creative force in both Italian and international entertainment, combining cinema, literature, and visual arts with strong humanitarian themes.

Del Zompo began her artistic journey at the historic Bellini Theatre in Naples, performing in A Comedy of Errors directed by renowned filmmaker and playwright Tato Russo. Her transition to television soon followed, appearing on the popular Italian program Buona Domenica with Maurizio Costanzo. From there, her presence expanded into cinema, where she collaborated with acclaimed national and international directors including Francesco Massaro, Tinto Brass, Luca Manfredi, Gabriele Muccino, Robin Ritter, Christian Voss, and Alessandro Capitani.

Her artistic evolution led her toward projects with strong emotional and social impact. She starred in the Rai International documentary Come prima, più di prima, mi amerò (“Like Before and More Than Before Shall I Love Myself”), a production focused on personal resilience and self-love. Alongside her acting career, Del Zompo is also a writer and biographer, notably authoring a biography dedicated to Grace Kelly, while also nurturing her musical side through gospel choir performances.

One of her most recognized creative achievements is The Legend of Kaira, a fantasy universe centered around a female warrior traveling through time to redeem herself and empower women worldwide. Originally conceived as a comic project following her earlier creation Grunda, the Angel with the Broken Wings  an animated work addressing femicide and violence against women The Legend of Kaira evolved into a cinematic and artistic movement. Del Zompo wrote, produced, directed, and interpreted the project herself, transforming it into a symbol of female strength and social awareness.

In 2020, she directed three short films: Birthday During the Pandemic –m Covid-19 Side Effects, The Women’s Angels, and The Legend of Kaira. The following year, she produced, directed, and starred in Death’s Fairy, the second chapter of the Kaira saga. Her recent works continue to blend art with social commentary, particularly in her 2025 short film Reflections, dedicated to Alzheimer’s awareness.

The same year, Del Zompo completed her first documentary, My American Dream, Kaira’s Journey: The Other Side of America. Filmed across California, including Los Angeles, San Diego, and Las Vegas, the documentary explores the American Dream, the legacy of Little Italy, and the growing homelessness crisis that intensified after Covid-19. Through an intimate and human perspective, the project highlights both the beauty and contradictions of modern America.

Her artistic work continues to receive international recognition. On May 29, 2026, The Legend of Kaira will be exhibited at the MAXXI National Museum of 21st Century Arts in Rome, followed by participation in the ArtExpò New York 2026 from April 9 to 12, 2026. Beyond the arts, Emanuela Del Zompo is also a member of the Penitentiary Police Association of Rome, reflecting her continued engagement with humanitarian and civic causes.

Through cinema, literature, and visual storytelling, Emanuela Del Zompo has created a body of work defined by empowerment, resilience, and cultural reflection. Her career stands as a testament to the power of art to inspire awareness, dialogue, and transformation.
