For more than two decades, Sarah Wingfield has dedicated her life to advocating for disabled people, vulnerable individuals, and underrepresented communities. Based in County Durham, Sarah has built a reputation as a passionate disability advocate, writer, actress, magazine editor, musician, public speaker, and community volunteer whose work continues to inspire and empower others.

Drawing on her own lived experience as a disabled and neurodivergent individual, Sarah has become a respected voice on issues surrounding disability awareness, accessibility, neurodiversity, safeguarding, equality, and inclusion. Her advocacy is rooted not only in professional knowledge but also in personal understanding, allowing her to connect authentically with those facing similar challenges.

Sarah is the founder and editor of Aycliffe Alternative Magazine, a publication dedicated to celebrating local stories, community initiatives, charities, creative projects, and grassroots advocacy. Through the magazine, she has created a platform that amplifies voices often overlooked by mainstream media while highlighting the positive impact of community action.

Her commitment to community wellbeing extends beyond publishing. Sarah also serves as a Director of Let’s Talk North East CIC, supporting projects that promote mental health awareness, community engagement, and personal wellbeing throughout the region.

Alongside her advocacy work, Sarah has established herself as a creative force in the arts. As an actress and independent filmmaker with credits listed on IMDb, she uses storytelling and visual media to explore social issues, challenge perceptions, and encourage greater understanding of disability and inclusion.

Public speaking has become another important aspect of her work. Sarah regularly delivers talks and presentations on disability, accessibility, neurodiversity, inclusion, and lived experience, helping organisations and communities gain deeper insight into the barriers many disabled people face and how meaningful change can be achieved.

In the music world, Sarah performs under the stage name K•Doll, an emerging UK artist whose music blends raw emotion, resilience, and empowerment. Her songs explore themes including identity, trauma recovery, mental health, self-discovery, and personal strength. Through honest storytelling and distinctive creative expression, K•Doll has begun building a growing audience drawn to her authenticity and powerful message.

Beyond music, Sarah’s creativity extends into digital art, blogging, journalism, awareness campaigns, and community-based projects. Each creative endeavour serves a common purpose: raising awareness, inspiring change, and encouraging people to embrace their individuality.

One of Sarah’s most significant contributions to peer support has been the creation of a long-running online community for people affected by Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP) and Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD). Over the years, the group has provided information, guidance, and emotional support to thousands of individuals navigating these often misunderstood conditions.

Despite her many achievements, Sarah remains deeply committed to volunteering and grassroots community work. Whether supporting local charities, promoting accessibility initiatives, or advocating for social change, she continues to dedicate her time and energy to improving the lives of others.

At the heart of everything Sarah does is a simple but powerful principle:

“If you can’t help, at least don’t harm.”

That philosophy guides her advocacy, creativity, leadership, and community work, reflecting a lifelong commitment to compassion, understanding, and inclusion.
