Recognised for her outstanding contribution to education and empowerment, Dr Nicole Edwards was honoured with the Inspiring Educator of the Year Award at the British Zariah Awards in March 2026, alongside the prestigious Legendary Achiever Award in January 2026 from Influencer UK Magazine and the winner of Face of WOHA (Women of Heart Awards) 2024. These accolades reflect not only her excellence in education but her unwavering commitment to transforming the lives of girls and young women globally.

In a time when global progress depends on inclusion, equity, and opportunity, Dr Edwards stands at the forefront of a movement that is changing lives, one girl at a time. Her work is not just about education; it is about unlocking potential, amplifying voices, and ensuring that every girl has the chance to lead, thrive, and shape the future.

At the core of Dr Edwards’ mission is a deep, unwavering commitment to girls’ education. She believes that educating girls is one of the most powerful tools for social transformation. When girls are educated, communities prosper, economies grow, and cycles of inequality are broken. For Dr Edwards, the classroom is more than a place of learning, it is a gateway to independence, confidence, and global citizenship.

As a teacher and educational leader, she has dedicated her career to creating environments where girls are not only taught but truly empowered. In her role as Head of Health and Social Care at a leading UK girls’ academy, she has helped shape a culture where young women are encouraged to think critically, lead boldly, and believe in their own worth. Her approach goes beyond academic success; it nurtures resilience, compassion, and the courage to challenge barriers.

Extending her impact beyond the classroom, She is the Senior Vice President of Social Responsibility for Henningson Black Level. To which, Dr Edwards is the Founder and Director of SheCreatesUniformCo, a forward-thinking education company dedicated to giving back to girls in underserved communities. Through this initiative, she provides vocational training in textile design and the production of school uniforms, equipping girls with practical skills while supporting access to education for those in need. By combining enterprise with empowerment, the initiative creates sustainable pathways for young women to gain independence, confidence, and economic opportunity.

Dr Edwards’ advocacy for girls’ education extends far beyond the school gates. On international platforms, she speaks passionately about the urgent need to invest in girls’ futures. She highlights the stark realities many girls still face, limited access to schooling, societal constraints, and systemic inequalities, while offering a hopeful vision of what is possible when these barriers are removed.

Her extraordinary impact has been recognised globally through a remarkable list of honours, reflecting her leadership in education, peacebuilding, and women’s empowerment. These include:

• Albert Einstein Innovation Award 2025 – Pioneer in Education & Skills

• World Peace and Diplomacy Organisation – Medal of Honour in Girls’ Education, Women Empowerment, and Peace 2025

• World Leaders Award, UK Parliament & House of Lords

• Global Power Leader 2025, White Pages International

• Healthcare Elite of the Year 2025, Fluxx Awards, Hong Kong

• Inspiring Woman of the Year 2025

Each accolade tells a story of dedication, innovation, and an unrelenting commitment to creating opportunities for girls and young women around the world.

Yet for Dr Nicole Edwards, the true measure of success is not found in awards, it is seen in the lives she transforms. It is in the student who discovers her voice, the girl who dares to pursue her ambitions, and the young woman who rises as a leader in her own right.

Her message is both simple and powerful: educate a girl, and you change the world.
